Just like Gainey, I'm not sure how much I have left to give. I tried to write about this today on my site and I really couldn't put something together that I really thought could justify how I feel about this entire situation. Gainey did some good, he did some bad, but in the end, this team isn't any closer to the goal Gainey himself set for the team 7 years ago - to win a cup.

So where do we go from here? Gauthier isn't all that different from Gainey, but no one really knows what he's going to do with the reigns. How short will his leach be? How short with Martin's leach be? Boivin? I kind of want to sit back and see how it all unfolds before really sounding off on everything. Because there is still a lot of developing left to do for some of the players Gainey had a hand in bringing in.

But I can at least say, like Julie, that I will miss THE MAN that was Bob Gainey. He was a class act and deserved every bit of sucess he had coming to him over the years. The GM? At this point, not so much...

I, too, think it was time for a change but will dearly miss the man that is Bob Gainey and sincerely hope he will be hanging around for a while so we can get more of his tasty and classy press conferences.

As always, Kyle, you have succeeded in communicating your thoughts and opinions in a clear and detailed way, while adding just enough “IT” factor to make us wanting more, even after your more lengthy blogs. WELL DONE, MAN.
